Media Assistant Role

A Media Assistant at M.i. will be a key support to the team in servicing a client’s business. They will be starting to progress their knowledge of core media channels, both offline and online. They would be spending time working with both the client services and digital teams to learn the ropes of each media channel including; TV, Outdoor, Radio, Paid Search (PPC) and Facebook. They would be expected to immerse themselves in a client’s business and develop their understanding of the processes we go through to service them effectively.

Key role requirements:

  • Attend media owner meetings and training sessions to build knowledge and relationships.

  • Set-up and book media campaigns.

  • Manage the delivery of campaigns from making sure activity appears on time, to the value booked being delivered.

  • Support the team with research on new clients and competitors.

  • Build media negotiation skills, making sure to challenge existing rates and seeking the best value for the client at all times

  • Analyse the performance of each media channel, working with data from various sources. Proficient use of Microsoft Office.

 A Media Assistant at M.i. should be ready to take on a bit of everything and have a ‘can do’ attitude. It’s all about learning the media ropes, absorbing new skills and working with the team to make our client’s business very successful. 

The Media Assistant will receive an enhanced offer of induction, training, workshops and

careers coaching through Create Jobs, as a part of a network of young Londoners. They’ll also become part of the Create Jobs Community, accessing exclusive events, training and mentoring opportunities.

Who can apply to Kickstart roles?

  • You must be aged 16-24 and receiving Universal Credit to apply for these roles
